40th Reunion - 2021

Help Us Locate Our Missing Classmates

A quick search on the internet reveals the average attendance for a high reunion is 25%--there are 388 Seniors in the Class of ’81 yearbook, 25% of this population equates to 97 Falcons!  Wouldn’t it be awesome to see this many classmates at our 40^th reunion?

 

Sadly, class reunion attendance continues to dwindle for various reasons—social media, economy, or just plain ‘ole lack of interest. Please know that the committee believes in the importance, and the many benefits, of a reunion, and so, we are committed to making it happen as long as there is enough participation. But we need your help! To ensure we find as many classmates as possible, we need to spread the word that a reunion is being planned

 

The next several posts will show “missing” classmates. Please help us locate them by providing their contact information, ie, email address, physical address or phone number via comments or by reaching out to a committee member. Thanks in advance!

Update from the Class of ’81 Dream Team

The reunion committee met yesterday, Aug 13, 2016. The primary purpose of this meeting (one day after the payment deadline) was to assess our financial position, in other words, did we have enough funds to continue moving forward with the reunion. I am “over the top” excited to tell you YES, YOU DID THIS! I would like to send out a sincere thank you to those that sent in payments. Currently, we are expecting 70 Falcons/guest, and this number is expected to grow as others have asked for an extension to send in their money.

After a brief round of high-fives, and a moment of celebration, the committee got down to business. Ideas were flying across the table at a frenzied pace and every task was eagerly accepted by the team. I can’t say it enough, this committee is AWESOME.

Now that the major expenses are paid for, we are now in a position to extend the deadline to Sep 9, 2016. Please note, this is the absolute drop dead deadline, as the food preparation will be based on the headcount at this point. We WILL NOT accept money at the door.

Lastly, we are in EXECUTION mode for real, for real. LOL. We want this to be a memorable event for everyone, so….If you have ideas you would like to share, please don’t hesitate to do so.

Idea Solicitation #1

Do you have any ideas for Gifts (to be used for door prizes or game prizes). Keep in mind, we purposely kept the reunion cost as low as possible in an effort to encourage more participation, so, gifts ideas must be in the reasonable category : )

It is not often that several individuals can come together to form a perfect team. I can say without a doubt, this is one of the best teams that I’ve had the honor to be a part of. Their willingness to divide and conquer is amazing, and for this I have the greatest love for my fellow Falcons, my ever trusting friends!
